Several Missile Road area businesses are reprimanded for operating Tuesday without water.
City health officials visited businesses and say they had to shut down six restaurant and one tattoo parlor.
"They thought if they prepared and stock piled the water so they could heat it up and have it to use as they needed it and give to their customers to drink and have it in buckets and pitchers, they though they'd be fine, however, that's not considered adequate water under pressure so they could wash their hands or flush their toilets or wash their dishes cause you have to have hot and cold running water in order to operate a restaurant safely," says Susan Morris, environmental health administrator with the Wichita Falls - Wichita County Public Health District,
According to Morris, the businesses were given a notice of violation.
She says if they had received a citation the fine would have been more than $2,000.
