From a shooting in December of 2010 to a kidnapping in January of 2011 to a robbery, Wichita Falls police have been called to different houses on Featherston Avenue for several crimes.

And while residents don't think their neighborhood is bad they do think the crimes are having a major effect on their lives.

This house on Featherston Avenue is drawing lots of attention.

It was the location of a robbery investigation Tuesday night that police say shifted to include drugs.

One neighbor, who did not want to be shown, says that doesn't surprise her.

"I've always thought there was drug activity but it wasn't this house. And what's really surprising is that they just moved in not very long ago," the unidentified resident explains.

But in that short time police say the occupants had drugs and drug paraphernalia inside, including about 2 pounds of marijuana grown in water, marijuana plants, baggies, scales and surveillance equipment, which were all found after police became suspicious that drugs were being produced here while investigating the robbery.

"Dealing, growing, being involved with illegal narcotics no matter what they are. It could be marijuana, it could be cocaine it could be methamphetamine, those are unstable environments and when you start introducing guns into that it just compOunds the problems," says Sgt. John Spragins with the Wichita Falls Police Department.

Although police have been called to this street several times in the past residents consider it a bad neighborhood but do say it is changing.

"It's old, good family owned but now it's turning into a lot of rental and when there's a lot of renters there's a lot of Riffraff," says the unidentified neighbor.

This man, 22 year old Antonio Rojas III was arrested last night.

He's charged with possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Tonight, he remains in the Wichita County jail on a $17,500 bond.

And the investigation into the reported robbery continues.
