Services have been set for a 91-year-old Holliday woman who was killed last Friday in a train-vehicle collision on Old Iowa Park Road.

Helen Havins died at the scene when the Burlington Northern Santa Fe train-engine struck her car which was stuck between the crossing arms at Old Iowa Park Road and FM 369.

Her memorial service will be at 3 pm Friday at First Baptist Church in Holliday. Burial will be Saturday in Brownwood.

Havins lived in Holliday 7 years and had also lived in Burkburnett. She was involved in the master gardener program, delivered for meals on wheels and also had volunteered as a tutor with the Wichita Adult Literacy Council.

She has four children in North Texas.

Burlington Northern officials say the crossing arms, lights, and bells were working before Havins's car got stuck. They'll be heading up their own investigation and assisting local authorities as they continue to investigate the cause of the accident.
