St. Louis Firefighter Rescues Dog Who Fell Through Ice

A St. Louis firefighter is a hero after saving a dog who'd fallen into an icy pond on New Year's Day.

A man was walking his dog in a park when the German Shepherd mix became spooked and ran onto the ice. The ice broke and the dog fell through.

Fireman Dan Hill rescued the dog and the animal was treated with oxygen and an IV. By the way, New Year's Day was Hill's first day on the job with fire station 29.
