The National Park Service marks the 126th birthday of the Statue Of Liberty, with the reopening of her head and crown this Sunday. The top portion of Lady Liberty underwent a year long renovation to give the public better access and offer safer conditions. There are two new staircases and a new elevator. People in wheelchairs will now be able to reach the top of the pedestal for the first time. The crown will only be open Thursday through Sunday each week and reservations are required.
