UPDATE: Suspect in custody, following chase in Wichita Falls

WICHITA FALLS - A suspect is in custody, following a chase in Wichita Falls, has been identified.

According to Wichita Falls Police, the incident stemmed from an aggravated assault investigation, allegedly involving a knife, in the 2500 block of Old Iowa Park Road.

Upon police arriving, the suspect, 35 year old Mitchell Audie Hutchings of Wichita Falls, fled the scene.

From there, the officers followed in a slow speed pursuit through the north side of town.

Hutchings came to a stop in the 4500 block of  Northwest Freeway.

He was taken into custody without incident.

Hutchings has been charged on one count of evading arrest or detention with a motor vehicle and one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
