Local taxi companies are determined to get celebrators to put away their keys after a fun night and call a cab to keep Texoma streets safe.
For most it will be a night filled will fun and celebration, but getting home could be tricky for some.
"Getting caught drinking and driving is too expensive for them to pay, it's better to pay a 15, 20 dollars on cab fare than to pay 3 or 4 thousand, maybe more for a DWI," says Claudio Ramirez Jr, the owner of Wichita Star Taxi.
Ramirez says his company will be fully staffed, and ready for the influx of customers no matter the time.
"We will have full staff out there working 24 hours a day rain, shine, snow we don't shut this business down we are public transportation and we are here to serve the public," Ramirez said. "Nobody wants to drive anymore because of the law, they will be protected we will be out there full force getting the people."
For those worried about cost, Ramirez says the average cab fare for those traveling within Wichita Falls will be around $20.
those celebrating new year's eve should keep one thing in mind above all.
"Enjoy yourself and be careful out there and if you have keys, put them away and call us we will come and get you."
For people still making plans, most taxi services can have vehicles reserved for a group, something to keep in mind to guarantee having a cab by the end of the night.
