Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott agreed today to a temporary voting map that could keep the Texas primary election on April 3rd.
At a meeting of the Wichita County Republican Men's Club ... County clerk Lori Bohannon talked about today's deadline.
She says maps have been sent to the department of justice ... and once those are approved, the county will start doing the work to get voter cards out.
But she says the county cannot send out cards or start the election process until the state lawsuit is completely settled.

"It's pretty hard -- well, this year we don't know anything. Every time we think we're going to have an answer and get things going, then of course they change. So, you know, we - we're just waiting on answers."
Attorney General Abbott said these latest proposed maps make changes only where necessary ... as directed by the U.S. Supreme Court.
