The Census Bureau study looked at city growth from Census Day in 2010 to July 1st of last year.
Round Rock, a suburb of Austin, took the second place spot in the fastest-growing large city list, while the capital of Texas comes in at number three.
North Texas cities of Plano, McKinney, Frisco, and Denton occupy the number four through seven spots, and McAllen and Carrollton, Texas are at 13 and 14.
New Orleans is at the top of the fastest-growing cities list, with almost 361-thousand residents as it rebounds from a drop in population after Hurricane Katrina.
