Texas Governor Rick Perry is asking Texans to join in the day of mourning called by Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy in memory of the 26 victims of the Sandy Hook shooting.
Perry issued a proclamation today declaring a moment of silence at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow to coincide with the one week anniversary of the shooting.
He also encouraged places of worship and buildings with the capability to ring bells 26 times in honor of each victim.
