Most churches across Texoma provide emotional support and comfort... a family environment ... and on a daily basis they provide nourishment for the body and soul. One Wichita Falls church is hoping to help others turn the corner and get that fresh start in life. "The Corner" is run by volunteers and members of Tenth and Broad Church of Christ, which is located in downtown Wichita Falls. "The Corner" was officially opened in July in the old Kelly-Moore paint store adjacent to the church's parking lot. Now, thanks to the help of volunteers, "The Corner" offers a variety of ways to help Texomans reboot their careers or find a new path in life. Starting next month, "The Corner" will have 3 new classes: one on parenting, one on sewing, and one that's called "bridges". That class is for men who are either on parole or probation and it will be taught by a criminal justice professor from MSU. The goal of the class is to help those men learn new skills so that they can get a new job and re-start their lives. If you need more information can call the corner at 687-2476.
