Five Wichita County dogs are in isolation after health officials say they came in contact with a skunk that tested positive for rabies.
This past weekend health officials say the skunk wandered into a yard off F.M. 367 and five pet dogs attacked and killed it.
Health officials say test results arrived yesterday confirming the skunk had rabies, making this the third skunk this year to test positive for the viral disease.
As for the dogs, health officials say none was up to date on its rabies shot.
So animal control officers will monitor them over the next 90 days while they're in isolation on the homeowners property.
