A verdict is reached in the trial of a Stephens County man accused of fatally shooting another man.
The jury found 25 year-old Timothy Maher guilty of first degree manslaughter in the shooting death of 34 year-old Maurice Wade in January of last year.

The jury also found Maher guilty of possession of a sawed-off shotgun.  The jury is recommending a sentence of 45 years for the manslaughter verdict, and 2 year for the one count of possession of the gun.  That's a total of 47 years.
The punishment phase of the trial is set for early June.
