A traffic stop for speeding sends two men to the Clay County Jail.

21-year-old Jamal Locke and 25-year-old Darren Murphy are charged with manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance.

Deputies say they were caught by radar going 90 miles an hour in a 70 miles per hour zone at U.S. 287 and Spur 510 early in the morning on Saturday. Deputies say when they asked if there was anything illegal in the car, Locke told them twice there was not.

One officer says when they asked Murphy to step out of the car, he saw a clear plastic bag containing pills in the front seat.

Deputies say they found about 80 grams of methamphetamine, as well as scales in the car.

Both men were booked into the Clay County Jail.
