Two Archer City Emergency Responders Still Recovering From Crash

Two of the emergency responders injured in a crash involving an Archer City ambulance -- are still recovering from injuries.
And one is in rehab, with broken vertebrae. Police say according to witnesses ... last Monday, Archer City's ambulance had its sirens blaring as it drove down 11th Street, bringing a patient to the hospital.
Witnesses told police Holliday had a green light, but instead of yielding to the ambulance, one car drove through the intersection -- hit the ambulance -- and caused the ambulance to flip.
The patient who was being treated -- Roy Lee Pope -- died.
Archer City's secretary says Pat Bryan -- one of the medics who was working on the patient -- has been released from the hospital but is in rehab with broken vertebrae.
She says the other paramedic was treated and released from the hospital but has not returned to work yet... and she says both volunteer firemen are back at work.
Wichita Falls police say no tickets or charges are anticipated for the driver of the car -- because no officers witnessed the driver's alleged failure to yield.
