A juvenile who escaped from the North Texas State Hospital campus in Vernon is now in custody.
According to Vernon Police Chief Tom Wilson, the juvenile was caught Tuesday in Sweetwater, Texas.
Chief Wilson says the juvenile will first be interviewed by Sweetwater detectives and face charges there before returning to Vernon.
The chief also says as of now the 17 year old will only face charges from the police department that only pertain to the escape, as well as a possible vehicle theft charge that is pending an investigation.
The chief says additional charges could be filed on the teen by the state hospital.
That 17 year old escaped with another juvenile by jumping a fence.
One teen was quickly caught and returned to the hospital.
And again, the second one was caught Tuesday in Sweetwater, Texas, where he remains in custody.
