They were crowned Lone Star Conference champions last weekend defeating Tarleton state 57-51, and now MSU plays host to the South Central Regional Tournament.
MSU's athletic director says volunteers are key in order to put on such a big event.
"We really do have to draw from a lot of different places and certainly our student athletes help us and people on campus, some of our professors have volunteered and help out," said Charlie Carr, MSU's athletic director.
16, that's the number of men on the MSU basketball team, but 125 well that's the number of volunteers they need in order to help make this weekend's tournament run smoothly and and that's where they need your help.
"We have hospitality rooms where we host, we have teams that we host, we have ticket that we take, ushers that make sure we put 14 people in a little area that supposed to seat," said Carr.
The Wichita Falls Convention and Visitors Bureau is also looking for help with its hospitality room this weekend.
"We would just like some help if people are knowledgeable about the city they can help us at the hospitality table as well," said Lindsay Greer, director of CVB.
Both the CVB and MSU know that Wichita Falls will step up to fill the need, and they hope this weekend is a success on and off the court.
If you are looking to help out with the tournament both MSU and the CVB are still looking for volunteers call MSU's Athletic Department at 397- 4779 or call The Wichita Falls Convention and Visitors Bureau at
