A Wichita Falls home suffers heavy damage Tuesday morning in a fire.

The 2 alarm blaze sparked just after 4:00 Tuesday morning at a home on the corner of Garfield Street and Maplewood Avenue.

Battalion Chief Mike Davis says two people were inside the home but they were not injured.
He says the family's pet was killed.

The fire started in the rear of the house but investigators have not determined a cause at this time.

No word on how much damage the fire caused.
The Red Cross is assisting the family.
