More than a dozen officers were awarded a Certificate of Merit for outstanding police work.
Three officers were recognized by the FBI for their roles in several federal cases involving gang and drug activity.
Those in attendance also paid tribute to Officer Bobby Hulett, a 26 year veteran of the Wichita Falls Police Department who retired last month.
"It's a very rewarding job," said Hulett, "I encourage people to get involved in law enforcement to see what police officers are doing. It's a great career. You depend on these guys that are around to save your life, and it's great."
Hulett said he wants to open an indoor shooting range in Wichita Falls, where he can put his training as a Range Master and SWAT Team Sniper to use.
The Secret Service said Tuesday it is taking "appropriate action"…
