A Wichita Falls pastor offered a little Southern gospel to open today's proceedings in Washington, D.C.
Reverend Mike Rucker of Bible Baptist Church in Wichita Falls was nominated by 13th District Congressman Mac Thornberry to serve as the guest chaplain, so Rucker and his wife drove to Washington for the special opportunity.
The journey was the couple's first trip to the Nation's capitol.
Rev. Rucker says it was a moving experience to offer the prayer to the U.S. House of Representatives.
He is the first guest chaplain from Texoma since 1995.
