Bruce Carter will play a huge role for the Cowboys stepping into a leadership role in the absence of Sean Lee.
Lee, out with a torn ACL since June, will miss the 2014 season allowing guys like Bruce Carter who is about to begin his 5th year in the league. Last season he got into 15 games registering 96 tackles and two sacks.
Carter knows that with number 50 out of the lineup this year, it’s up to he and his defensive teammates to provide some leadership, and help improve, one of the worst defenses in the league in 2014.
"You know, he was a great player on the field,” he said. “He's truly going to be missed but for players like myself and Church and Scandrick, we really gotta step up our game and get all the new faces and the young guys going, cause its really on us, we just gotta really go out there and do our job."
