2014 FNF:District 11-1A, District 2

- There's some familiarity when it comes to this six man district.
Chillicothe, Harrold and Northside lose Rule but pick up a new team, literally.
For the first time since 2011, Benjamin will field a high school football team.
The Mustangs haven't played a full schedule in 5 years.
Benjamin has had a middle school football team.
Head Coach Jacob Navarro says a lot of the team is made of members from last years middle school squad that went 6-2.
Jacob Navarro, Benjamin H.S. Head Football Coach-"What we try to do is build step by step day by day. That is how we view our success. We try to make things better that the day before. That was how it was for our middle school program last year. We are going to build off of that. And go as far as that philosophy will take us."
The Chillicothe Eagles are coming off their second straight playoff season.
Head Coach Clint Miller returns all of his starters on both sides of the ball
Clint Miller, Chillicothe H.S. Head Football Coach- "Our kids have worked all summer long. During the summer strength and conditioning program have averaged 15 or 16 kids so the excitement is there the kids are excited. The community has recognized they have been doing the workouts in the summer so they are excited. There is a level of excitement we haven't seen in a few years."
Long time Harrold Coach Craig Templeton lost 2 starters on offense and defense from last years team.
The Hornets were one game away from making the playoffs last season.
Coach Templeton says the key to this season is to finish games.
But they are going to have to do things a little different in 2014.
Craig Templeton, Harrold H.S. Head Football Coach-"We are not going to be as big as we were last year. Where we have been able to line up and run the football on teams. We are going to have to adjust a little bit. We are going to have use our speed that we haven't had in the past couple of years."
The Northside Indians have a new coach in Matt Billings from Hermleigh.
Billings replaces Blake Kinney.
Coach Billings inherits a team that was a district champion in 2013.
The Indians return 4 starters on defense and the same number on offense.
Matt Billings, Northside H.S. Head Football Coach-"We are going to have to have some kinds step up. We are going to have some good senior leadership. We are going to have to have some of the younger kids to step up. That are going to have to fill roles from graduation."
