FNF Preview: 2014 Holliday Eagles

In 2013, the Holliday Eagles suffered through the programs first losing season since 1999. In 2014, they face one of the most difficult schedules in the state and it begins with defending state champion Stamford.
"I put them on the schedule because we need to play tough teams to get ready for our district opponents," sayd Holliday Head Coach Frank Johnson.
Outside of Holliday expectations are not high after going 2-8 a year ago.
To turn things around the Eagles will need consistent play from several two-way starters including Matthew Tigert who played some quarterback last year but will be on the receiving end of passes this season as Levi Draper is expected to take most of the snaps.
And Johnson emphasizes the importance of a solid linebacking corps.
"I've always had great linebackers and I need to keep that tradition going here in Holliday. We need a great linebacker," says Johnson.
Dalton Matz should see plenty of carries behind an offensive line featuring returners Easton String, Zach Offield and Travis Boyd who all do double duty on the defensive line.
