Former City View standout Lacey Taylor helped the West Texas A&M Lady Buffs advance to the Division Two College World Series.
Taylor hit .359 for the season with 9 homers and 34 rbi's
The sophomore also played a key role in WT winning a Lone Star Conference season record 56 games.
The Lady Buffs dropped the first game of their series with St. Mary's and stormed back to win 2 straight and claim the regional title.
The Lady Buffs are in the Division Two College World Series that begins this Thursday in Salem, Virginia.
Former Rider standout Katy Hill is also going to the College World Series but this time at the NCAA Division 3 level for East Texas Baptist University.
Saturday the Tigers get a walk off homer to advance.
Hill who is a freshman has only played in 19 games but has made the most of her appearances batting .250, scoring 15 runs and getting 14 rbi.
The Division Three College World Series begins Thursday in Tyler.
