Former Rider Raider Eric Ward says "Listen to your coaches. They may be hard on you sometimes but it's all for the better."
(Which coaches have made a difference in your life?)
"I would say coach Garfield because everyday he would tell me I'm in the shadow which means to me you're not getting the attention you need. So I took that to go out and work harder. Everyday when we went to lunch-recess, a mid-day practice at Rider. I stayed out there wanting him to drill the ball to me as hard as he could to work on my hands. I knew I needed to work on my hands to get better. I used to run striders and gassers out there to get in shape. When the Friday Night Lights came on I was ready. I was in better condition than those guys out there and could run better and faster."
