For the first time in school history, the Texas Tech Red Raiders is in Omaha for the College World Series.
One player that has helped the Red Raiders get there is former Holliday star Chris Sadberry.
In game one of the super regionals against the College of Charleston, Sadberry pitched 8 innings while allowing 4 hits in a 1-0 shutout win.
Sadberry will get the ball Sunday when the Red Raiders play TCU in the College World Series opener.
Ray Hayward, Texas Tech Pitching Coach "Chris all year has been our most consistent guy and is our most consistent starter. He's one of those guys that is a little bit older. He's got some years behind him. He's got some maturity. He's pretty calm. He's been able to go out and give us a good outing. Every time out. And at least give us a chance to win. So we thought he's the best guy for us and hopefully he will continue to do that."
The Horned Frogs and Red Raiders will play Sunday afternoon at 2 in Omaha.
