The Wichita Falls Coyotes are looking for a new head baseball coach.
After nine years at Old High, Rob Johnson says he is stepping down to take an assistant principal position within the Wichita Falls ISD.
Johnson told Tobin McDuff Monday that with his stepson graduating and the opening of their indoor facility, the time was right to step down as head coach at Wichita Falls.
He says it's been nine great years at Old High but it is time for a new chapter in his life.
This past season, Johnson took the Coyotes to their 1st outright district title in 20 years.
The Coyotes lost in the area round to the eventual 4A state champion Aledo.
