Earlier Saturday at Memorial Stadium former Rider Raider Markelle Martin wrapped up his annual No Fly Zone Football training camp there.
Dozens of kids showed up for the two day camp which was free.
After a brilliant high school career where he earned all-state honors, he went to Oklahoma State where he played four years, starting three years in the Cowboys secondary.
He then was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the sixth round of the 2012 draft and has suited up in the Canadian Football League too.
Markelle Martin----"To show these kids. It is a very positive thing to do for the kids. I want to give back. And to give these kids guidance. Where ever they want to go in life. Whether it is the classroom or what they want to do. There are people around them that support them. And everyone has a story to tell to give them that insight."
Among those joining Martin as instructors were former Rider Raiders Paul Mason and Eric Ward and former Wichita Falls Coyotes Armonty Bryant (Cleveland Browns), Ontorio Shaw and Isaiah Anderson.
