WICHITA FALLS - Another weekly honor for a Texoma athlete, Midwestern State's Layton Rabb is the Lone Star Conference Offensive player of the week for the second straight week.
The Mustangs quarterback accounted for a career-best 332 yards of total offense. Rabb completed 16 of 18 passes throwing for 285 yards and 3 scores, and he ran for 67 yards in the Mustangs win over 2nd-ranked Texas A&M-Commerce.
"I've been here for four years, and I've played behind a lot of good quarterbacks and learned from a lot of good guys," Rabb said. "I've just tried to carry something that they taught me, all the way up until now. These past two honors, these past two weeks with the conference players is really more of a team goal to me, it's a team award. I mean, I couldn't do it without the o-line, without the running backs and the receivers, and the tight ends."
