The Wichita Falls Wildcats met their goal to take sole ownership for the top spot in the NAHL South Division. The Wildcats needed a shootout to beat the Amarillo Bulls 2-1. Amarillo took a 1-0 lead in the first period. Wichita Falls evened the game up at 1 when Kyle Bauman got a shorthanded unassisted goal. After a scoreless 3rd and overtime periods, the game went to a shootout. The Wildcats were 4 for 4 in the shoot out. The Bulls were 2 for 4. Bauman clinched the win with the 4th goal in the shootout. Wichita Falls is off until January 3rd when they travel to Topeka to play the Roadrunners.
