Silver Star Nation Report: September 23, 2013

Demarcus Ware needed two sacks in Sunday's win over the St. Louis Rams to become the franchise sacks leader. He got them and then he spoke to our Cowboys insider Mickey Spagnola about what the record means.
“When you talk about records with the Dallas Cowboys, being etched in stone with some of the greats – it let’s me know where I stand and that is at the top…and it feels great” said Ware.
Ware had two of the Cowboys’ six sacks against Rams quarterback Sam Bradford to give him 115 in his nine-year career, surpassing Harvey Martin for the club’s all-time lead.
Martin, who played for the Cowboys from 1973-’83, finished his career with 114 sacks. Ware entered Sunday’s game needing just two sacks to pass Martin, and he collected the record-breaking one with a sack of  Bradford for a 3-yard loss with 8:19 remaining in the third period.
