The need for nostalgic speed is on full display at the Wichita Raceway Park Saturday as the Southwest Heritage Racing Association held races there. The SHRA is a grassroots racing association with many racers in the Wichita Falls area. Today was the 2nd race of the season out of 8 events in 2014. These vehicles are 'Old School' style front engine dragsters and adjusted and cover the 1/8 mile at over 150mph.

This morning at Holliday High School, Eagles baseball player Brandon Wright signed to play at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Wright will play catcher for the Crusaders which is an NCAA Division III school in Belton. Brandon was named all district in 2012 and was the district's offensive MVP in 2013. Wright picked up all state honors as a catcher from two different organizations last season.
