3 Months Ahead: Hot & Dry

The NWS's Climate Prediction Center has released their long term outlook for the months of April, May and June 2013.
The National Weather Service's Climate Prediction Center has released their long term outlook for the months of April, May and June 2013.

In the past two years the same outlook showed much above normal temperatures and much below normal precipitation which then verified with continued drought across Texoma.

This year's outlook isn't much different.  Here's how it breaks down for the next three months:
  • Temperature:  Much Above Normal
  • Precipitation:  Below Normal

This would indicate that the drought across Texoma would continue.  That isn't to say that it won't rain at all but the overall averages when the three months are over should indicate much above normal temperatures and below normal precipitation.
