48th Annual Jim Bowie Days Festival Gets Underway

One of Texoma's oldest and biggest festivals celebrating our western heritage is now in full swing in Bowie.

The 48th Annual Jim Bowie Days festival continues Thursday with the grand entry at 7 pm and the first night of the Jim Bowie Days Rodeo.

Thursday will be the first night of the Jim Bowie Days Rodeo and Friday has a full slate of activities and events, from from free swimming, a pet parade, turtle races, frog jumping contests and more.

It starts up again Saturday at 8 am. Many of the events take place in the new Bowie Community Center.
