$52K Worth of Marijuana Found After Traffic Stop

Lawton police say they obtained a search warrant for Emmett Blount's home because of a Crime Stoppers tip and evidence found during officers' investigation.
Lawton police say a traffic stop leads them to more than $50,000 worth of marijuana.

Yesterday morning, officers pulled over a speeding vehicle driven by Emmett Blount.

They say a K-9 alerted to a marijuana cigarette.

Blount was arrested and charged with careless driving and possession of marijuana.

Police got a search warrant for his home in the 600 block of SW 45th St.

That's where they say they found more than seven pounds of marijuana in jars and baggies, more than $5,000 in cash, and a stolen gun.

Blount was then charged with three new crimes including possession of marijuana with intent, possession of a firearm in commission of a felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
