Detectives are hoping for information that will lead them to a man who held up a new convenience store that's opened up in a former gas station in Wichita Falls.

It happened around 2- Thursday afternoon in the 1700 block of 5th Street, near Brook.

Sergeant John Spragins, with the Wichita Falls Police Department, says a man walked into 5th Street Discount Store, with a baseball bat, and demanded money from the clerk.

Just like after yesterday's armed robbery at the Old General convenience store on Brook, and several others recently, officers are very much hoping for tips to find this criminal.

Sergeant John Spragins/WFPD: "The white male was wearing a blue t-shirt, dark colored shorts, and had a bandana across his face and across his head as well. It was two different bandanas."

Sergeant Spragins says the clerk was not hurt, and the man ran away with an undisclosed amount of money.

If you think you could help authorities, your information could earn you up to $1,000.
