6 people have tested positive for tuberculosis in Wichita Falls, but that does not mean the disease is active in those 6.

The testing stems from a possible case of tuberculosis at Faith Mission. Health officials tracked down 89 people who came into contact with the man believed to have contracted the disease. So far 73 people have been tested since last Monday. Of those, health officials say blood work of 6 tested positive, which means they may have been exposed to someone with TB.

Health officials still need to test 15 more people. They say 29 people came back negative for tuberculosis, and they are still waiting for the results on 38 people.
