62nd Annual Sausage Meal to be Served in Windthorst

Windthorst's yearly German Sausage Meal is Sunday.  It benefits the Knights of Columbus and the Windthorst VFD.
    Thousands of people are expected to head to Windthorst this weekend for a tasty tradition.
    Windthorst's annual German Sausage Meal has been held at Saint Mary's for the past 62 years.
    This year's meal is this Sunday at Saint Mary's Parish Hall at Highways 281, 25, and 174 in Windthorst.
    It lasts from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
    The all-you-can-eat meal features homemade pork sausage, spare ribs and sauerkraut with all the trimmings including dessert and drink.
    Adults can get in for $10..
    The cost is $5 for children 12 and under.
    Proceeds will be split between the Knights of Columbus and the Windthorst Volunteer Fire Department.
