73 Year Record Broken in Lawton

For the first time in 73 years the low temperature has reached a new record low.
According to officials at the National Weather Service in Norman, Oklahoma; the office that has jurisdiction over southwest Oklahoma and Western North Texas, reports a new record low for Lawton.

The old record was set 73 years ago in 1940 at 16 degrees.

The new record, as of 7:03 am, is 14 degrees.

As the morning goes along the temperature could drop further and if it does this story will be updated.
