An accused murderer looks to take the stand in his trial first thing Friday morning.  25-year-old timothy Maher faces a first degree murder charge for the shooting death of 34-year-old Maurice Wade in January of last year.
Thursday, the state rested its case. It's expected that Maher will take the stand and claim self defense. A medical examiner previously testified Wade was shot 20 times. Also, earlier in the week, the deputy who responded to the shooting testified Maher told him he'd shot Wade at his home after the two had been partying.
Trial resumes at 9 Friday morning in the Stephens County Courthouse.
