Kick it for Kids is an annual shoe giveaway for kids living at the Children's Aid Society Home.

Air Force members let the kids pick out any pair of shoes they want and then cover the cost.

Organizers say they started the event three years ago because they wanted to help the kids but their need for toys was already being met, so by donating shoes they are able to still give a gift the kids love and need.

“You can't explain the smile you can put on a kids face who doesn't have a whole lot and when you see them pick out the show that they want, cause normally when they go with their parents their picking up, shoes that their parents think are best for them, so when a kid can come in and go oh man I want those motorcycle boots or I want those cowboy boots then you know it's just good,” says Jeff Pittman with the 361st training squadron.
