Patriot Guard Riders welcome home daughter of own of their own
A Wichita Falls Airman returns to her family after eight months of serving our country overseas.

Dozens gathered at Municipal Airport to welcome Airman First Class Tina Venable home from Afghanistan.

Venable, of the Texas Air National Guard and Security Police received a hero's welcome after stepping off a plane in Wichita Falls Saturday.

Members of the Patriot Guard Riders attended Venable's welcome home celebration.

Venable's father is a PGR member.

"They do a lot of good stuff some of it is for those who have passed on and they go and stand but something like this is welcoming a vet home, I'm just proud," says Venable's mother Janet Allen.

"I feel grateful because a lot of people don't get to come back in this fashion, I truly feel grateful," says Tina Venable of her airport welcome. "I served with a lot of fantastic people in my sector, we had a good family out there so I was very lucky and very fortunate."

Venable returned from an eight month deployment at Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan.

Her family says they are happy to have her home just in time for the holidays.
