Two girls who allege a 66 year old man assaulted and molested them for years today faced that man in the courtroom.

Raymond Slagle is charged with three counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and two counts of indecency with a child by contact.

He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

The now 16 year old victim was quite descriptive on the stand as she recounted the sexual abuse she says she endured at the hands of Raymond Slagle, which started 10 years ago.

That victim testified in 30th District Court that Slagle started sexually abusing her when she was six and that abuse happened in his home. She described numerous times when he allegedly kissed her on the mouth, fondled her private parts and had her perform oral sex on him.

She also talked about being so depressed because of what was reportedly happening she started cutting her legs and arms and even tried to commit suicide. But she wasn't the only teenager who took the stand.

The prosecution also called another alleged victim to testify who is now 15 years old. She said from the age of 5 to 9, Slagle fondled her inside his home.

Before court recessed, the prosecution called the mothers of Slagle's alleged victims to testify. Both said their daughters never said anything about the alleged abuse, but after a while, they seemed to not want to go to Slagle's home any more.

Prosecutors say the now 16 year old victim told her mother about the abuse in December 2011.

An investigation followed, which uncovered the alleged abuse with the now 15 year old, and that girl's mother says that's how she learned about it.

Wednesday's proceedings wrapped up around 2:30 p.m. However, trial will not resume until Friday at 1:30 pm because the prosecution's last witness is not able to be here until then.
