A church in Duncan was covered in bright green today as friends and family gathered to honor the life of Alyssa Wiles a teen who was brutally murdered last year.

Saturday would have been wiles 15th birthday and to celebrate her family through a fundraiser filled with cupcakes, crafts and a photo booth.

Her family says they wanted the party to be like Alyssa had planned it.

“She always liked to be silly, you know? Get in the photo booth and act up so that's why I’m trying to do with some of her friends, you know, just go in there and act a fool just like we would if she was here,” says Alyssa's Father Brad Wiles.

Guests were asked to bring donations that can be auctioned off in June.

All the money raised will go towards Women's Haven, an organization that provides shelter, help and counseling to domestic violence victims.

Authorities say Alyssa was stabbed to death by her ex- boyfriend 16- year- old Micheal Ray.

He pleaded guilty and will be sentenced in March.
