Animal control officials say rabies have been found in two skunks in
Wichita Falls and residents need to be on high alert.

Getting bitten by a dog or other animals can put you at risk for rabies.

A city resident says he can attest to that after he was bitten by a dog while he was out for a jog.

"It hurt, but I didn't think it was that bad but then it continued running but then I realized very quickly that it was much deeper than I thought it was," said Patrick Scott.

If you're afraid you could have been exposed to the viral disease, experts recommend getting a rabies vaccine.

And if you see a wild or domestic animal that looks sick, fearless or aggressive.

You can report it to animal control by calling 761-7824.
