Anonymous Tip Leads to Arrest in Burglary Case

An anonymous tip leads detectives and police officers to make arrests in a burglary that took place Monday.

Two suspected burglars are behind bars this afternoon after an anonymous tip led to their arrest.

34-year-old Brandt Beasley and 24-year-old Sonny Slay are each charged with burglary.

Slay has a lengthy criminal record that includes drugs, evading arrest, and burglary. He was on paroled from prison in 2009 and released from state jail last summer after an additional conviction.

Police say during a burglary in the 100 block of Devonshire Monday, a red pick-up was stolen along with several thousands of dollars worth of clothing, electronics, and jewelry from inside the residence.

Tuesday, after an anonymous tip, officers were called to Second Circle Drive and were able to track the vehicle, items, and the two suspects.

Bond has not been set for either suspect.
