Interest is growing on a new program to help area women improve their job and life skills.
Faith Refuge for Women is preparing to start a career academy.
The program will be similar to the Christian Women's Job Crops program, which closed earlier this month because of lack of funding.
Faith Refuge officials started taking applications on Monday and so far, have nearly a dozen turned in.
Generous donations from organizations are making this program available for any woman, free of charge.
Applications for Faith Refuge Career Academy are available weekdays during business hours at the Hatton Road facility.
The first class of 15 students starts September 3rd.
