Archer County Commissioners Enact Burn Ban

Archer County commissioners decided to enact a burn ban at their meeting this morning.
Triple-digit temperatures and lack of rain force another Texoma county to enact a burn ban.
Archer County will be under a burn ban for the next 60 days.
Judge Gary Beesinger said he was waiting on the latest drought and fire danger index numbers before he put the item on the commission agenda.
Here's the list of Texoma counties currently under burn bans: Clay, Montague, Young, Wilbarger, Foard, Baylor, Wichita, Throckmorton, and now, Archer.
Jack County is not under a burn ban.
They're in a little better shape because of rain they received early in the summer.
