With the long weekend comes many barbeques and cookouts.
If you don't have your steaks, brisket or sausage yet there are some things you should know about this years meat outlook.
Experts say the price of some meats are a little higher this year than last year.
Briskets are running about a dollar more per pound than usual.
And although he says customers shouldn't see too much strain on their pocket books, he doesn't see cattle prices changing any time soon.
"They're saying that cattle prices are gonna stay high, and our prices may increase just a little bit, but uh, prices should stay high they're saying for the next year or so," says Texas Best Meats Owner Troy Collier.
Collier says prices on ribs could come down after the holiday but chicken and pork could be seeing an increase soon.
