Burglar Who Sold Stolen Items on Craigslist to Pay $31K in Restitution

Brett Collett pleaded guilty to multiple counts in 89th District Court Thursday.
A man arrested in a sting after stolen items were put up for sale on Craigslist will have to pay more than $31,000 in restitution to the victims.

Authorities say postings on Craigslist led them to Brett Collett and Jonathan Walker who officers say burglarized an Iowa Park business.

Collett pleaded guilty today to one count of theft under $20,000, two counts of burglary of a habitation, and three counts of burglary of a building.

He's sentenced to five years community supervision.

He'll also have to pay restitution to the victims.
